Senior Development Manager

Senior Development Manager

The Job

We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead and develop key projects across our public sector and third sector clients. We are looking for someone to work hard on the stuff that makes public services, and third sector organisations have the biggest impact; helping them understand what isn’t working and supporting them to lead the change across their organisations and services.

You will provide leadership, know-how, and hands-on time to get moving on the projects that really matter: the ones that make the biggest impact on the lives of real people.

This senior role will work with a range of public sector and third sector clients, including socially trading organisations, across Liverpool City Region and North West of England. You will provide advice, inspiration, organisational development, business development and service design support to seed effective ideas and build thriving organisations. From people, organisations, systems and processes we help clients navigate complex environments. We need to understand and move through the complex environment quickly and flexibly.

You will be responsible for securing new business development opportunities alongside working with clients to develop organisational resilience whilst delivering impactful, well designed work. The work we do is varied. We work on projects which are intervening earlier or preventing future challenges from happening.

This will range from supporting and developing new models of health & social care, through to building new models for socially trading organisations to thrive. The vision to deliver these types of projects is shared by colleagues working across Liverpool City Region and whilst they are not short of ambition, they continue to have the pressure of the day job – that’s where Capacity and this role comes in.

To excel in this role, you will need to be motivated by understanding what organisations and the communities they work with truly need. You’ll need to be passionate about designing and implementing new services to meet those needs or supporting organisations to meet new challenges, grow or increase the impact of their work.

This role will require you to be adept at building close, trusting relationships with leaders and key stakeholders, be kind in the support you offer clients and courageous in delivering constructive challenges when required. As you will work across multiple projects, individuals who thrive in these roles currently are excited by and expertly manage a large and diverse workload.

Project Manager

Project Manager

The Job

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team at Capacity. The majority of this role will initially focus on projects sitting in our strategic priority area that pushes for adult care models to maximise independence, enabling people to live full lives. This will largely be through supporting clients to redesign delivery models and helping organisations to work with the people they support to create products and services with real impact.

The Project Manager will work with Capacity colleagues and a range of public and voluntary sector clients to co-design and deliver change. This will involve helping to understand what isn’t working, imagining a different way of doing things and influencing the change into action.

We are looking for someone who understands the public sector and has experience of engaging with communities to create change.
We don’t expect (nor believe in) perfection. The projects we deliver are often complex and things won’t always work. We therefore promote a learning culture where people are encouraged to be open and honest about what’s working, what isn’t and where they might need extra support. It’s really important that people considering this role aren’t afraid of making mistakes or asking for help.
