The Liverpool City Region is full of brilliant social businesses making a positive impact on the lives of local people. They’re also navigating sometimes complex ways of working in the public sector.

At Capacity, we’re helping local charities and social businesses to expand their reach and impact, making breakthroughs in the way they deliver services. 

We’ve partnered with Postcode Innovation Trust and other funders to design and deliver Social Climbers, a programme of bespoke support for socially trading organisations in the Liverpool City Region.

Social Climbers is creating space for busy leaders and doers to sit down, slow down and think about growth.

Mental health

1 in 5 children and young people struggle with their mental health. In deprived areas this is likely to be higher.

Health inequalities

People living in the poorest areas of the UK live 15 years less than those in affluent areas and experience poorer health outcomes.

Accessing social care

Almost half a million people across England are waiting for adult social care assessments, care or payments to start.

What we offer

Social Climbers is all about supporting social enterprises and charities to amplify the impact of their work, building solutions to the big challenges being faced by public services across the Liverpool City Region.

Our work has unlocked strategic thinking, built networks, helped appraise and prioritise new ideas, built skills and provided support for leaders taking on tough challenges. We’re helping to give clients structure, space and support to step away from the ‘day to day’ to think about their long term plans.
