This year we completed our first piece of work with the national charity, Mind, taking a specific focus on their information and practical advice phone service, Infoline. Since the start of the pandemic, demand for Infoline has rocketed.
As a leader in UK mental health support, Mind’s team were keen to understand how the service offer was understood, what current usage looked like and what gaps might be filled through further development. That’s where Capacity came in.
There are currently around 83,000 children in care in England. Many of these children are growing up in a system that denies the stability, security and safety that underpins a happy childhood. Children in care have worse educational, employment, income, housing, mental and physical health, and criminal justice outcomes than children who don’t grow up in care. Capacity’s first venture, Juno, started with an idea. That things could, and should, be done differently for the benefit of young people.
