CRIKEY, 2022 WAS A BUSY YEAR, WASN’T IT?

As we settle into 2023, we wanted to share some of our favourite highlights from 2022.

Throughout last year, we’ve run and completed the delivery of a whopping 35 projects, working closely with our incredible partners across the public and third sectors. We raised millions of pounds to test new models of public service provision, and helped our partners become better connected and better equipped to explore disruptive solutions; finding space to think big and be proactive.

We also invested time in understanding what makes us unique as Capacity, and what are the values and principles that help us deliver exceptional work. To help plug ourselves in the principles that pack the biggest punch, we’ve worked hard to develop a fresh new Theory of Change (which you can find in the first book of this impact box). You could say this has given us a fresh pair of eyes, creating clarity about how we are going to measure and analyse our impact from 2023 onwards, and a framework to be spot-on when doing so.

With a growing number of opportunities to make big impact, we decided to grow our team to deliver increasingly transformational work (as they say, teamwork makes the dream work). We now have 27 brilliant people in our team, and we are incredibly excited to tackle all the new opportunities to transform public services that are coming our way for 2023 and beyond.

This page holds all our 2022 impact at your fingertips. You may notice we’ve split our impact into separate eBooks for your convenience. Our introduction book (Book 1) shows what we are all about now, and where we are going 

Our second book is our case study book. It is a handful of our favourite client projects for the year 2022. We tell you what the problem was, how we got involved, and how we worked with our partners to make public services people services.

Finally, we continue to take great pride in being a learning organisation. As a team, we sit down regularly to look back at our work and figure out what is working and what isn’t, and what we could have done better. We capture some of these learnings for the year in our learnings book (book 3).
